An art idea sent to me for making a log cabin: We have the shape of a small house and open door cut out. The children glue this onto construction paper. Next they glue small pretzel sticks onto the house to resemble logs. Inside the door the children are given a shiny new penny and identify Abraham Lincoln's face on it.
